North Glasgow Mental Health Network

Main Services

To bring together service providers, service users and carers and provide a collective approach in identifying and solving the challenge of providing high quality mental health services across the North Area.

The Network meets as a full group every two months but sub-groups meet on a more regular basis to take forward the work that the Network identifies.

The Network links into local services, the Community Health and Care Partnership (the main decision-making body for mental health services in the area), Community Planning Partnership and the Public Partnership Forum.

Network Vision

The Vision of the Network is to provide a collective approach in identifying and solving the challenge of providing high qulaity mental health service across the North area.

In coming together in partnership with local people we seek to comment on and influence the design, development and delivery of services.

Who is in the Network?

The Network consists of Voluntary services such as Possil and Royston Stress Centres, Carr-Gomm and Glasgow Association for Mental Health (GAMH), statutory providers such as the Primary Care Mental Health Services and the Community Mental Health Team. Specialist services such as Esteem, Homelessness Services also participate and we welcome carers and service users.

Why get involved?

The Network links into local services, the Community Health and Care Partnership (the main decision-making body for mental health services in the area). Community Planning Partnership and the Public Partnership Forum.

The Network has the ability to influence real change in the way that services are provided if there is a strong enough voice.  This means getting those people who provide a service, those who receive a service and those who know most about some of the difficulties to get involved.
